Not Me! Monday

It's time for MckMama's weekly blog carnival, Not Me! Monday! Join me as I reflect upon my crazy week, won't you?

I did not have a fleeting moment of relief and internal warm fuzzies when both of my work appointments cancelled in one night, leaving me time to spend with the fam instead...

I did not experience a feeling like that, only tenfold, when my "mom volunteer day" at MDO ended abruptly at 11:45 am when I had expected to be on duty until 3:00 pm. I would never be excited about a thing such as this!

I did not almost pull my hair out when Tyler spent Friday-Sunday doing side work, and I had a taste of single motherhood for 72 hours, which felt like 72 days. Nope, not me! (Way to go, all you single ladies and those of you who are job-widows!!)

I did not freak out when I realized that Tyler brought three gigantic, dirty, smelly plants inside to avoid the first frost. I do not have a thing against house plants. I did not contemplate accidentally placing them back outside so that they would freeze. I would never...

I would not rather have a bee sting my eyeball than take my kids to Chuck E. Cheese for a birthday party on a Sunday afternoon. Repeatedly. Make that a swarm of bees. (By the way, thanks for the invite. The girls had a blast and we are very grateful. Really.)

I did not almost purchase an expensive Halloween costume, only to realize that dressing as Gretchen, the beer girl probably wasn't all that appropriate to wear to my PAT playgroup, or the slew of other family-oriented Halloween activities we have to attend. Drat.

I did not come to the realization that I have been making a long 40 minute drive for the past 4 weeks for Sassy's dance class on Monday mornings, yet have never taken the chance to actually complete a workout while there. I did not have this epiphany last night, yet perpetuate my habit today. Not me!

So, there you have it. Perfection... I think not. What have you not been doing this week, friends?

Two things:

1. where can I get that costume to wear to our family party next weekend?

2. are you at my Y on Monday mornings? Because I am there too...

I think you should get the costume anyway and visit me and Bastian next year for Oktoberfest. :)
