Stream of Consciousness...

Paying homage to MckMama's style!

First, let me start of by saying that I would be lying if I said I did not stay in bed until nearly noon this morning watching episodes from the second half of Glee, Season 1... which I ran out and bought Tuesday when it came out...

Set those DVR's- for all you fellow Gleeks (or those who have yet to hop on the bandwagon), Glee Season 2 premieres this Tuesday, September 21st at 8/7 c. Watch it.

Last night, I went out with a couple of friends. I was unable to make it to dinner at Sumo after a couple of setbacks, including but not limited to an emergency trip to the ophthalmologist for Tyler after work and a near cake-fail on a new cake recipe that I made to bring over to a friend who just had a baby. YIKES!

Despite the treacherous cake experience, I made this recipe featured on my friend Renee's revamped blog, which you all must go see if you haven't already. She is a fabulous resource on natural, green, and organic parenting and living, and she does a bang-up job with her writing to boot. Anyway, the pizza pasta bake smelled AWESOME and I can't wait to try it out here! Oh, and Renee just happens to be wrapping up a week of giveaways, and today just happens to be the last day to enter. So, if you haven't yet, please do... here.

Oh, and yes, I acknowledge that I am absolutely insane for sending two untested recipes out to friends. I hope it all turned out well. That's just how I roll.

Anyway, back to my night out. Stream of consciousness, remember? So, I missed out on dinner, but I did manage to make it to the movie. We saw The Switch with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman. I thought it was adorable. Really enjoyed it. I don't think the reviews were that hot, but whatev. In fact, I remember reading somewhere that Jason Bateman's character was extremely unlikeable, and I couldn't disagree more.

I had every intention of heading home after the movie, but C and R twisted my arm and I was coerced into going to their new haunt, Orange Leaf. O.M.G. Run, don't walk, to your nearest location. It was over-the-top delicious! I had a healthy serving of little swirls of banana, blueberry, pomegranate, mango, and pineapple yogurt topped with fresh strawberries, blackberries, a bit of granola, and some tapioca beads. I don't have the words to describe how fantastic it was. I am thankful it is quite a drive from our house. Having said that, please, please, PLEASE build one in Derby. Thanks!

Tyler and I filled about 6 rubbermaid totes to haul off to Goodwill this morning. It felt good.

This afternoon, we are going to LuLu's third birthday party at Raeann's. Sassy and Little A are super excited. They've been debating over which leotards each will wear for the majority of the morning. Girls.

We have a lot going on the next few weekends, and all of it is FUN! Fall, here we come. Although, I would appreciate any and all temperatures in the 80's to cease and desists immediately. It's mid-September. Thanks.

Oh, and one last thing. I received a really nice blog award from Ms. Baby Plan. I'm flattered... thanks!

This award requires the winner to follow some points:

1. Accept the award. Post it on your blog with the name of the person who has granted the award and his or her blog link. Thank you again Ms. Baby Plan.

2. Pay it forward to 15 other bloggers that you have newly discovered:

OK, so I may have broken the rules a bit. Unless your skills are limited to Little A's in the counting department, you will see that I listed 11 blogs, not 15. And, I did not notify anyone through comments. These are all blogs I enjoy, though... worth the click to check them out!

Have a wonderful Saturday, peeps!
