A Daddy and his Princesses...

This weekend was the Daddy Daughter Date Night in our community.

I ♥ the ideas behind this event.

I love that it sets up a special time for dads to make their little girls feel like the most important thing EVER.

Love it.

This is the third year that Tyler has taken Sassy. They went for the first time back in 2009. Apparently, I did not take any pictures from the evening last year. Anyway, this year was Tink's first time going, and she was pretty stinkin' excited about it.

Sassy talked about it all.week.long. Namely, what she was going to wear. Yeah...

For the dance, some girls wear fancy dresses and some girls wear dress-up. Sassy wore a Cinderella dress her first year. Last year, she wore an actual dress. I really, really urged the girls to wear their Christmas Eve dresses. Remember how cute they looked? We went back and forth. I begged and pleaded. In the end, it was an argument I did not win. When all was said and done, I let go of the control. As hard as it was for me to do, I needed to do it. This was their night with their Daddy and they should get to choose what to wear. So, they did.

During the dance, Lynzee and I went out for sushi and shopping. Bliss.

The girls returned with nothing but great things to report- dancing, games, stickers, wands, jewels, pink feather boas, bubbles, friends... a little girl's dream come true. Yeah for Daddy Daughter Date Night!

The winners of the Sesquicentennial giveaway are #1 Zoe and #20 Sarah. Congrats, ladies!

LOVE it! You all are just so fun. I also love how Tyler coordinates with them both -- blue and green. :)
