Weekend Wrap-Up...

This week has flown by, has it not? I can't believe it's already Thursday! I had intentions of telling you all about our weekend earlier on in the week, but that never happened. So, let's get all caught up...

Last Friday, Sassy had an eye evaluation. She did very well- she is slightly farsighted and has an astigmatism, but she is still within normal ranges to not require correction at this time. Yeah! She will have to go back in a year for another evaluation.

Saturday morning, the girls and I got up pretty early, and we planned to get to Target for their Dr. Seuss Read Across America event. Tink has been practically begging to wear her tutu, so the girls decided to wear their snowflake outfits that Nana bought them last Christmas. Of course, I had to take pictures. Tink is getting to the stage where she truly believes that she is a princess in the flesh. Love it!

The girls enjoyed the story time at Target. More importantly, they enjoyed the free chickadee crackers and apple juice! The sat and listened to One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and a few other select Seuss stories. Then, we did a little shopping and headed home for lunch.

After lunch, the girls played dress-up. Sassy couldn't wait to try on the Jelly the Pug dress that arrived for her in the mail from KidSteals. Even though it seems to be about 4 sizes too big, she looked adorable! Tink, too, of course.

Saturday night, I met some friends at Buffalo Wild Wings to play electronic trivia and then we headed back a friend's house for game night. After a rousing rendition of Cranium, we sat and chatted in what ended up being the longest MNO ever. I left at around 3:00 AM to step outside and find insanely dense fog that I had the pleasure of driving all the way home in. JOY! Let's just say that Sunday morning was rough. Although I had only had one drink the previous night {a delicious piña colada}, the sleep deprivation got to me all day long.

Sunday morning, Sassy came up with her own unique outfit to wear. Her fashion sense cracks me up!

Oh, and her personality, too.

Tink came out to play a bit, too, before we headed to the grocery store in the weary, dreary weather. What a gloomy day it was on Sunday!

Monday was the usual- work, school, dance class, dinner, bed. Tuesday, Sassy had her second picture day of the year- this time class pictures were on the agenda, as well. We had no advanced plan as to what she was going to wear, so we made a decision together Tuesday morning. I was super happy with her choice- to me, it screams preschool. I'm going to miss these days!

Tuesday was also crazy socks day for spirit week at Sassy's school. I'd love to know who thought it was a good idea to combine crazy sock day and picture day. I can't wait to see Sassy's class picture! We compromised on "crazy tights" instead...

Tuesday was a gorgeous day outside! Tink decided that she wanted to wear a princess nightgown for her rest (from the dirty laundry basket, since she had worn it the night previous) and when it was time to pick Sassy up from school, there was zero convincing her to take it off. So, off we went in jammies, gym shoes, and shades. What a look! We played outside for a while until Miss Debbie came over for Tink's PAT visit.

Sassy wanted to make sure I took a picture of the "shooting star". HA!

Poor Tink- I swear she looks like a battered child. She is so rough and tumble, that girl...

The girls enjoyed their snack outside and drank water from their "special" cups. I enjoyed the breeze, for sure!

I rocked out my neon tennies...

Tink took a spin or two in her firetruck...

We had our PAT visit, I had my own work visit, and then we went through the whole hospital fiasco. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all my sweet friends who have offered to help. I appreciate it more than you know, and I may take a few of you up on your offers once Mom's surgery is complete.

Yesterday, the girls and I were on our own after MDO since Tyler went in to work late in order to help out around the house yesterday morning since I got home so, so late from taking my Mom in to the ER. Bless him! We mostly played outside.

Readied ourselves for a ride...

Watched Sassy leave us in the dust...

Ate some leftovers for dinner. Played dress-up. Danced.

You know, just another day in the life of a princess.

Can't wait to see what the weekend brings!

We did crazy tights, too. Yeah, not great thinking on someone's part!

Since I'm not far, let me know if there is ever anything you need. I work third and barely sleep, so I'm available most of the time.

I can't believe you got that Jelly the Pug dress for Sassy. Jealous!! They were also on Zulily & I wanted either Sassy's dress or the twirl skirt so badly. BUT...I resisted. I am jealous beyond comprehension that Sassy will be sporting that dress!
