...17 days later.
Nothing like that feeling of being regrettably behind in everything in life, huh?
Moving on.
After Sassy's super fun Tangled Party the evening before D-Day, er, B-Day, we were all pretty exhausted. Our plan was to go to Tanganyika Wildlife Park, but it was stormy Sunday morning. Instead, we opted to have a nice breakfast at home, spend some time with Uncle Bastian, and open birthday gifts from the family.
Sassy, like any 5-year-old, was pretty pumped to see what was inside those little packages!
Brownie points for the musical Tangled card, Nana.
Except for the fact that I have heard When Will My Life Begin approximately 1,742,186 times since May 1st.
Just sayin'...
Sassy didn't even know what this little gift was from Nana {a jewelry hanger thing}, but it was ballerina, so she loved it!
Tyler and I were really excited to present Kit to her, which I picked up back in KC on the girls' shopping weekend. She was a hit, naturally.
I think they resemble each other, so I was excited that Sassy wanted her.
Next, it was off to The Alley for some birthday bowling. It was a great way to kick off Kids Bowl Free for the summer! Tyler and I purchased the adult extension of the deal this year, and we are excited! It's a great program, so go check it out if you haven't already. It covers a lot of areas around the country!
We enjoyed bowling, laughing, and mostly admiring Graycop's mad bowling form!
It was so nice to be able to spend some time with Bastian before he returns to Germany for good {sniff}...
We rounded out the birthday evening by a trip for dinner to where else... Red Robin! Sassy is usually very shy when it comes to birthday attention, but this year, she relished in it and put those balloon ears right on! See, she's growing up already!
Happy 5th Birthday, Sassy. Mommy & Daddy hope you had a wonderful, special day!

Happy Birthday indeed =)
WOW, I can't believe she is 5. Our little girls are growing up way to fast. :(
