Oh, dear... what did I allow to happen in the SPH this weekend?
I'll give you a hint...
It involved scissors. And lollipops. And tears. My tears.
After hemming and hawing for quite some time, I decided that I just couldn't look at Little A's mullet for one more day.
So, we decided to hop over and get that thing cut off before our second birthday party of the weekend. Take a look at what we were dealing with, here... These are not the best examples, considering her hair was wet from her bath, but seriously, it was bad.
Little A was not the best cooperator in the entire world. Shocking. I was hoping that they'd be able to feather-cut a bit in the back, keeping with the wispy look, but shorter and less mullet-y. We pretty much ended up with a blunt cut. A bob of sorts.
And, here are the results:
Little A is pretty content.
As for Mom, the jury is out. I liked it all right on day 1. Now that it has been washed and air-dried and slept on... not so sure. Considering the fact that I am not 100% sold, in combination with the realization that she may never willingly keep any pretties in her hair, I have a few more ideas a-brewing in my little head. Stay tuned...
But, Little A's hair- not the cause of my tears.
Nope.
It just so happens that a certain little stinker finally convinced me, after months and months of chipping away, to let her chop her gorgeous hair.
TEARS!
But, she's a 4-year-old who knows what she wants, and I just have to resign myself to that fact.
Not the best pictures to show it off, but Sassy ♥'s it... big time. I thought she would be a little sad, but NOPE! Not.one.bit.
The end.

Ohhhhh...I do LOVE Sassy's new cut! It is SUPER cute on her!! BUT, I can see why that would make you cry...her little curls were so precious. And she looks really grown up with this new cut.
I like little A's new cut!
And I feel ya on the Mullet. Luke has had one since birth.
They're both beautiful! Before and after :)
They both look so cute and so much older.
I think they both look adorable. But I totally understand how you feel, hence the reason I have not given into Lily yet. But I will, like you said we have to give them some opinion now. Sassy's did look so cute at dance with half pulled back like that!
Both girls are adorable no matter how their hair is cut or not! I'm glad you let Sassy cut her hair. I had long hair as a child and my mom would NEVER cut it besides trims. It's good for her to have a bit of a say! Even if it brings some tears to mommy!
