My new favorite nail polish color is called It's Up to Blue by Orly. Lynzee discovered it this spring, and it is SO fun! Sassy and I have been sporting it on and off throughout the summer.
Considering my penchant for periwinkle piggies, I was naturally intrigued when I learned about the Teal Toes organization.
Let me break it down for you.
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Teal is the color of the ovarian cancer awareness ribbon. Teal is also a super fun color of nail polish. So, the Teal Toes movement works like this... first, you paint your piggies teal. Not the most conventional nail color, and sure to spark some conversation. When it does (or any time you look at your perfectly polished piggies in public), you spread the word on ovarian cancer awareness and the symptoms of this silent killer.
Easy, right?
Right.
So, hop on board. Paint those piggies. Spread the word.
I hereby grant you permission to splurge on that pedicure you've been wanting... just be sure to chat it up with the ladies at the spa about ovarian cancer awareness!
I ♥ alliteration.
