We woke up, meandered around a while, and headed to D-squared for breakfast. I have never, in.my.life seen more Dunkin' Donuts than I did on the east coast. It was INSANE!
Once we were finished with breakfast, we spent the rest of the morning and into afternoon chilling at the cottage. Ash made us a yummy Mexican skillet meal for lunch, and we just relaxed. Sassy and I spent some time playing outside- she skipped up and down the stone pathway from the driveway to our door.
We dug around in the broken-seashell gravel (a common finding in The Cape) for a bit. Sassy found some treasures (rocks) in the yard... the usual.
We played "restaurant". We hung out in a princess castle. Sassy put on a puppet show. We explored a submarine. We played dress-up:
I mean, who wouldn't take her seriously in combat?
While we were in Hyannis, we decided to hop on over to the Cape Cod Potato Chip plant for a self-guided tour and a free sample! It was an interesting experience, as we were three ladies among a very large group of "conservative" Jewish men. HA! We enjoyed ourselves, nonetheless:
We stopped on the way home at the Dog House for a hot dog (again, a huge line and a huge wait. Are you seeing a pattern here?). Almost left because of their CASH ONLY status (another common finding out here), but thankfully, they had an ATM. Our dogs were good. We stopped back at the cottage and then headed out to Orleans to meet Dawn and Keith...
To be continued...
