{day 9}: The 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway Spectacular

Some days, the stress level here at the SPH reaches epic proportions, and I've been known to stand in the middle of my living room, extend my arms to my sides with my palms facing outward, and declare, "NO MORE OF THIS LLAMA DRAMA!" And, that's all thanks to Anna Dewdney.

If you haven't read the Llama, Llama series to your little ones yet, you are truly missing out. The adorable illustrations and engaging rhymes make for fabulous children's books. They are certainly among Sassy and Tink's absolute favorites!

Allow me to share Scholastic's book synopsises:

Llama Llama Mad at Mama
Everyone in the family will be laughing when this mama tries to manage the "llama drama" of a grocery store meltdown—and everyone is sure to recognize a little bit of themselves! Luckily, Mama manages to keep her cool and engage her tired little llama in helping her finish up the shopping. The clever, rollicking rhymes make this picture book a pleasure to read aloud, and the hilarious pictures are sure to banish everyone's bad mood!

Llama Llama Red Pajama
Any little one who doesn't like to be left alone at bedtime needs this sweet and reassuring story about a little llama who doesn't want his mama to go downstairs. He frets and calls and moans and worries—but after all the "llama drama," he realizes that even if he can't see her, Mama is still close to him. The rhymes and illustrations are filled with humor and warmth, making this read-aloud the perfect antidote to separation anxiety.

Llama Llama Llama Misses Mama
Mama always comes back—that's the message of this sweet and funny rhyme especially designed to help little ones manage their separation anxiety. Llama Llama is having a very hard time at school because he misses his mama so much. The adorable illustrations show big tears slipping down his face as he thinks about her. It's hard for him to focus on drawing or story time. But as the day goes on, and he begins to play with his newfound friends on the playground, he forgets about missing Mama. And before you know it, she is there, waiting to pick him up and bring him home! The Llama Llama picture-book series tackles the difficult moments of childhood with honesty and humor, letting children and their parents know that they aren't the only ones who have bad moments, and that a little laughter and a lot of love always save the day!

We ♥ these books so much, and we want you to ♥ them, too! One of you will win the 3-book paperback set that Scholastic carries!
